10,000 Reasons ~ Day 17: Hymns of Praise

10000reasons

July 2011 is when this beautiful song of praise hit the airwaves.  I loved it from the first time I heard it.  Even bought the CD just for this song.  The rest of the CD is incredible too, by the way.
The song takes me to a state of worship…no matter where I am.  I hope, as you read the words to the song, that you are also taken to a place of worship.
 10,000 Reasons (Matt Redman)

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up
It’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
10,000 reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul

Worship his holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
10,000 years and then forever more

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name (repeat 3x)
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name (repeat 3x)
Joy To You!
